Desert Mountain Lacrosse 2016 Code of Conduct

 
                                                            
Players and their Parents are required to read and abide by this Code of Conduct.   Players are expected to adhere to the rules and regulations of US Lacrosse, the Arizona  Lacrosse League and the Desert Mountain Lacrosse Club.
 

  1. Players will demonstrate respect to their coaches, teammates, officials, opponents, parents and anyone affiliated with the Arizona lacrosse League.  Foul and/or abusive language is prohibited both during games and at practice, to anyone.  Every player will respect all venues by cleaning up and assisting coaches and volunteers as necessary.

 

  1. Players will have a good sporting attitude and demonstrate fair play.    Unsportsmanlike conduct during games, scrimmages or practices will not be tolerated.

 

  1. Prohibited activities include gambling, hazing, initiation activities, discrimination or harassment.

 

  1. We have a zero tolerance policy regarding substance abuse, Including, but not limited too, illegal drugs, alcohol and tobacco.

 

  1. Attendance is mandatory at practice, contests, and team meetings.  Players MUST attend all practices, games, and events unless the coach has deemed it optional. Excused absences must be arranged by the player with his head coach prior to any absence.  Missed practice/games or events may result in loss of playing time and disciplinary action including dismissal from the program.  The coach will excuse Players from participating in team-related activities, if absence is due to academic obligations, family emergencies, illness or another in season sport.

 

  1. Players will be on time and prepared with proper equipment and attire for all practices, games, and events unless the coach has deemed it optional. Missed practices/events may result in loss of playing time and disciplinary action including dismissal from the team/program. On time means dressed and ready BEFORE start time. Showing up at start time is LATE.

 

  1. Players must maintain school grades acceptable to their parents.  Parents have the obligation of discussing unacceptable academic performance with the head coach.  Parents and the head coach will determine if action should be taken regarding lacrosse.
